Beginner Watercolour Painting Workshop (for Adults)

Location: Beach United church, 140 Wineva Ave

Beginner watercolour painting will cover the basics of this fun painting medium.  Working from a still life, participants will develop their observational skills and learn basic painting techniques such as colour mixing, layering, washes and dry brush.

About the Instructor

Tristram Lansdowne was born in 1983 in Victoria, British Columbia. He has a multidisciplinary art practice, which includes watercolour, sculpture, installation and print, and is focused on themes related to landscape and architecture. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across North America and in the UK.  He was a semi-finalist in the 2011 RBC Painting Competition and in 2013 his work was acquired by the National Gallery of Canada.  In 2016 he received an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
